160516 Cleopatra Egyptian Swift Pigeon follows me everywhere.

Cleopatra Egyptian Swift Pigeon seems to be over missing her husband Nile. A dramatic change. She now follows me around like a puppy. Never more than a few feet behind me.
. . For two and a half years would never come in the house. Now she insists on being inside with me on my lap .. or outside with me, follows me everywhere. Calls to me if I'm not nearby. Up till now she never spoke at all. I think I'm in love ~:<)
. . Also, soon, more Egyptian Swift developments ~:<)

Thanks everyone for showing your concern ~:<)
BUT... something interesting happened.

Nile and Cleopatra rarely spoke... very silent 99%.
Now she spends most of the day on the railing (not in her nest) SPEAKing to me ... a lot, in loooong sentences while staring into my eyes ... very verbose. ... never done that before.
... She is definitely trying to tell me something. I have no idea what? What happened to Nile? Demanding that I bring Nile back? Asking to live in our house? Asking for a new husband ? Eventually it will become clear (I hope).
. . Also interesting, Newbie and 2.5 will no longer allow Cleo anywhere near their nest. Newbie now wants Cleo to vanish from our yard.
I'm trying to find Cleo a new husband ~:<)

150309 2731 Pigeons Egyptians first time loose Cleopatra Nile

I'm so excited. First time in their lives... my 2.5yo Egyptian Swift Pigeons, Nile and Cleopatra, were able to be free outside to explore. They did NOT fly away, walked around for 1/2 hour, mingled with the Chickens and other Pigeons, then went back into the Aviary to their OWN nest. Such a relief. I was anxious to see them fly, but they didn't. I was hoping they'd fly to the deck to see me... maybe next time?
. . I got them last Nov, secured ever since. Did not want to take a chance they'd fly away in the dead of winter. Now I know they feel they are "home".
