160208 Simon soaking his arthritic feet in water
ONE of my biggest joys in life is when I hear Simon Pigeons footsteps coming down the hall to my office where he stands at my feet looking up at me because he really needs a loving hug (me too). It gives me a warm feeling ~:<) ... ... That's why I type with one hand a lot.
ESPECIALLY meaningful because his arthritis is getting worse and now it's a very long walk for him. His flying is not so good anymore either (almost 16yo).
.. . I always wondered why he stood in his water dish. Over the past year I noticed his increasing difficulty in walking, .. painful I assume?

"Egyptians Discover Water".... Pigeons

150218 Headlines = "Egyptians Discover Water"... Because I deprived them of their daily warm cup of water for a day and a half, the Egyptian Swifts finally got thirsty and discovered the Chickens perpetual water supply. Now my neighbor won't need to fill their water cup everyday while I'm gone. Now I finally have proof they actually did find it and won't die of thirst while I'm gone.
Trail cam comes in handy once again ~:<)
From the video, looks like they were pretty thirsty.
