If you missed part 1, Velcro nearly died -
Part 1 - Missing or dead, My best friend gravely injured. But It was a happy day with Champagne in the water bowl with the reunion of Velcro and 2.5 after 9 days apart (short video). 2.5 was so sad the whole time but was overwhelmed with Joy when Velcro returned. They love each other so very much.
2.5 didn't know what to do.. jumped from perch to perch for a half hour, then they went into the nest where 2.5 moaned and moaned for hours and hours (Orgasm?) .... Interesting, because they're both female (Lesbian Pigeons?).
Velcro is doing very well, her limp is getting better and her feathers are already starting to grow back and part of her stitches have fallen off. She slept on my arm all day yesterday, she's happy and content.
Today Velcro and Spot-Dove went to visit the family and twin 8 yr old girls who rescued Velcro the night she almost died.
Just friends I reckon, lol. How nice to see them back together again. I hope the family who rescued her like their new pigeons.
ReplyDeleteGosh, the names! You need a family tree, as your bird lines are harder to follow than the Royals. Now, 2.5 is one or 2 (and a half?) bird(s)? Is that the two you're speaking of? Or is 2.5 happily playing with the lesbian Velcro. And where does Spot-dove fit into the picture? It boggle's the mind! ;~P
ReplyDeleteLong live Velcro!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe beanie baby birds were an awesome idea. :) Sweet.
ReplyDelete2.5 is cooing with joy!!!
ReplyDeleteIriani - Ya, ... I think each of them thinks the other is male??? The twins loved the little birds... a lot.
ReplyDeletecatafish -
*Tuna = cat,
*Doves = Spot White Dove = Mother of Mini (white female), and of Jet (brown male).
*Pigeons = Velcro female grey wings (Velcro sticks to me), 2.5 female pure white (two point five.. she was 2-1/2 months when I got her.
*Chickens = Bert Rooster, Beanie brown banty, Agnes grey Americauna (lays blue eggs), Alice B/W Polish silver Lace, Puff black Frizzle.
Astra - Thanks, I hope she lives long, I'll tell her you said that.
gemina - They said they had asked their Mom for them before, so it was perfect.
swag - 2.5 was overwhelmed with joy. She just couldn't express her happiness enough. Most emotional critter I've ever had (Well, Diesel Dog was very very emotional too).
Awww...they're so happy to be back together.

ReplyDeletePlanet - Yes, and they are still stuck together like glue... well, more like Velcro.
Cute...best girl friends..nice to see the bond there.

ReplyDeleteBarb, all the birds have bonded with me in much the same way... they nibble at me and preen me the best they can. They cuddle in my arms and go to sleep. (Except the Chickens.. but some of them like to be hugged too).
