When Clarence stepped off the ladder, he had no idea how much that would affect the rest of his day.

This is a few hundred feet in the air.  Maybe they should have just used a taller ladder ??

A construction project at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis MN.
WHO knows why they chose a ladder to hang in mid air ?

It's not unusual for construction crews to hang something heavy on a crane when the workday is over. It keeps the cable from blowing wildly in the wind, and assures that the cable can be lowered to the ground the next day. It's usually something of value that could otherwise be easily stolen (a welding set, a generator, etc).... but a lightweight inexpensive ladder ??

  3. Yeta - Well.... I guess you can safely say that it will NOT get stolen..... unless someone used a VERY tall ladder to steal it.

  4. Or they're crazy enough to fire up the crane.

  5. Yeta - Yes, I wondered about that too.... but then they might also steal the crane ??

  7. fransform - Some things just don't have answers.

willy - Yes, the large telephoto power has opened up a huge number of new possibilities for photos I couldn't otherwise even consider... Sometimes you can't just get close to your subject. So far I'm overall very satisfied with the camera. BUT, while the P510's video is very good... I still need my camcorder with me..
. . These three photos (including the bee, link below) were all taken from over a fence and I couldn't get near the flowers... about 8-10 feet away. Most people think I took the bee photo with a macro lens.

My new Nikon P510... 42x 1000mm 20 power zoom. I love it... shots I wouldn't have considered with my old camera.
