It's the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.... built on the side of a steep hill.
OK so I photoshopped it a bit. The real photo is next, showing bridge to nowhere.
Balcony at the end of the Bridge to nowhere. Mississippi river in background.
With special surface coating on the building, the reflection of clouds on the building reveal the actual constellations in the sky.
The Yellow Observation room near the top of the building
View from windows on the Bridge.

Very cool !!! ... what an interesting place.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
You know ... there is a tell tail detail that gives the first photo away ... *she whistles to the wind* ...
Wonderful photos Bert!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the golden extension level in the clouds! Brilliant!
thanks for the brain food
ReplyDeleteI'm picking it's the bloke with no feet ...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely awesome bunch of photos Bert. I love the bridge to nowhere.
Yep ... lol ... that and the clouds not following a horizon line ... but I didn't pick that up til I looked at it again .
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to do a "what's wrong with this picture" thing ... with photos people photo shop and see if anyone can pick out the flaws.
I would only be able to be a "flaw picker" 'cause I have no idea how to photo shop anything ... lol
Hehe. I didn't get the cloud thing either till you just pointed it out.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I look back those trees are growing on the wrong angle for a steep slope. lol
I, too, would only be a flaw picker!
I was going to mention the trees too ... but I've been in some places where trees did rather bizarre things so I figured I'd let them slide.
ReplyDeleteThat is ... assuming we all accept the total bizarrity of a building being built that way ... lol ....
And the retaining wall ...
ReplyDeleteTrue. It is all rather bizarre really.
very cool
