I took my vintage tractor to an Old Time Threshing show

Guess which one is mine ?

It's a 1974 electric, very rare...will run for 25-30 miles on a single charge.

The John Deere is sweet. Fun to drive around with.. have a small trailer with ice chest the wife rides on. Pretty slick.

  4. That is a nice little tractor, I did not know they made electric tractors during that time.

  7. Secret - They only made it for about 2 years. The initial cost (with batteries) couldn't compete with gas.

Onelucky - It's fun to zoom around in, maneuverable and zippy. And with trailer and ice chest, what more would you need?

equine - I have another vintage electric garden tractor made by Sears, a bit bigger and I sometimes actually use it to mow with.

foxberry - Hmm hadn't thought of naming it. Maybe Billy John?

  10. I know I was debating about going to another site myself. Having a child in the last year and with working about 11 hours a day, even keeping up on fb seems like a chore. I'm going to Blogger only to keep doing Picture Perfect, otherwise I'd probably just be on fb and nothing else.

By the way, I'd name your little tractor Bambi, since it's a like a baby Deere.

  11. Hmm, Bambi... very logical name. I'll see if upper management approves (wife).
